Tiger Woods: On the Range With Butch Harmon, 1996 US Amateur Championship
If nothing else, Tiger Woods is a hard worker. He is first on the range and out on the course during practice days. This Sunday in August of 1996 found him on the range at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club warming up for the last day of competition in the US Amateur Championship. Under the watchful eyes of coach Butch Harmon, caddie and longtime friend Bryon Bell, Tiger pounded balls into the colorful sunrise. Tiger then went out and won his record third consecutive US Amateur title, defeating Steve Scott in a dramatic 38-hole final match. The victory marked the peak of Tiger's legendary amateur career before he turned professional the following week.
This image was made on the third day of my assignment for Sports Illustrated...the fifth frame from one of 32 rolls of film I shot that long day!
The print is offered in three sizes. The slide shows the original crop as it was shot. The accompanying image shows the approximate print crop.
The crops are approximate and allow for a border to be used in framing/mounting and for the title/signature. All prints larger than 8.5x11" will be titled, numbered and signed. All prints larger than the 8.5X11" are offered as limited editions. No more prints of a particular edition will be printed once it has sold out.
The original slide is also available for purchase. There is, obviously, only ONE original slide available. It is ONE OF A KIND. Once that one original slide is sold it will be pulled from the shop.
You will need to read the terms and conditions and check the appropriate box prior to paying for your purchase. Shipping within the USA is free via USPS Ground Advantage. Processing and printing takes between three to seven working days. Feel free to drop me a note if you need to expedite shipping or have any other questions.
