EDDIE ELGUERA CARLSBAD 1988

I hung out quite a bit at Mike McGill's ramp in the late 80's. Just about anytime the surf was subpar I headed over to the skatepark up the road from Palomar Airport. Most skaters headed over there as well. It was one of the best places to skate in those days. El Gato (Eddie Elguera) was probably the star on this day. A member of the skateboard Hall of Fame, Eddie wrestled with addiction through the middle of his career. He has since kicked it and has become a minister out in the Palm Desert area... and stills skates whenever he can. And still does it better than most.
